YapYear is being built for the conversations that make a year: friend-group chaos, couples’ inside jokes, and family-chat lore. We turn those moments into a funny, shareable year-in-review.

Our approach is privacy-first: process chat text on your device and let you choose which result cards to share. WhatsApp and iMessage exports are our initial focus, with a manual paste-in fallback planned where exports are restricted.

We’re in early development. The goal is simple: make looking back at your chat a yearly ritual, without making your private conversations public.
